As a musician he’s known for his versatility, full-toned sound and passion for playing with authenticity and dedication, no matter the context.

Barry has over 40 years experience of playing and showcasing his artistry both locally and Internationally. Barry is a regular participant at local and international Jazz festivals and he has toured extensively in North America, South Africa and the UK.

He is continually collaborating with other performers from the jazz and Arts Community and is a keen mentor to aspiring younger musicians.

For the last 8 years and he has held a residency in Bert’s Jazz Bar in the Merchant Hotel, Belfast where he performs with his Quartet. Barry’s versatility is constantly in demand as a session musician. As a composer he has written scores for local film producers.
